Bray Lions Club
Bray Lions Club is part of Lions International, a worldwide service organisation. Bray is within Multiple District 105 which covers the UK and Ireland.
Lions are men and women who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in their local communities. They do so in the belief that those who live in a community are in the best position to know who needs help and why. This is achieved through membership of the local Lions Club. More than 44,500 in number, these clubs are part of the world's largest service organisation, with over 1.4 million members in 203 countries around the world. All funds raised by Lions Clubs from the general public are used for charitable purposes, and administrative costs are kept strictly separate and paid for by members.
Bray Lions Club was founded in 1987 and is celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2012. We currently have close on 40 members and we meet at the Martello Hotel on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month (except July and August).
Our Club undertakes more than 30 projects each year, principally in the areas of health, education and community development and we also help and support Lions International projects in the Developing World. Our annual fund-raising activities include Bray New Year's Day Charities Sea Swim, the Christmas Food Appeal, a BBQ and Charity Auction.

The Better Bray Challenge
This project marks the 25th Anniversary of Bray Lions Club and has the objective of enhancing the Bray Community by inviting businesses, voluntary organisations, sports clubs, public bodies and other groups to set themselves a goal for the period May 2012 to March 2013. When a significant number of participants achieve their goals , the cumulative impact on the Bray Community will be most positive.
The endeavours of all participants will be recognised by Bray Lions Club at a 'Better Bray Celebration Day' to be held in May 2013.
You can become part of this exciting project by completing the application form on in the Register section of this website.
